Bronco Utah Operations, LLC, an underground mine located near the town of Emery,
Utah is currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic to work on mine equipment.
Diesel Mechanics work underground and in the repair shop, diagnosing and fixing
mechanical problems on diesel-fueled vehicles and larger machines. They perform
preventive measures and techniques to keep equipment up and running.
Diesel Mechanics use a variety of technical skills to provide the most comprehensive
repair solutions they can, including:
Advanced knowledge of equipment, its electrical system and the mechanisms of
a diesel engine
In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
Excellent problem-solving skills
Keen attention to detail
Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic tools
Good interpersonal skills
Effective collaboration and communication skills
Other duties as assigned.
Current MSHA training certification for underground coal mining.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Driver’s License
One year of diesel mechanics experience
One year of coal mining equipment maintenance experience
Certification in Diesel Mechanics from an accredited training program
